Madden NFL 09 (PS3) Review

This game, I think, delivers the most complete football package ever.  No matter if you’re just starting out or have been playing for years, you can still enjoy an experience that is tailored to your playing style, using the new Adaptive Difficulty Engine, which offers uniqueness while still giving you a challenging experience.  For Online Leagues, this game features trades and stats tracking.  Up to 32 teams can fight it out using flex scheduling, a new feature.  An enhanced graphics engine and new, better player models help make a distinction between linemen, who have more bulky bodies, and backs and receivers, who have slender and sleeker looks with which they fly across the field.  What an amazing game!

Final Fantasy IV (Nintendo DS) Review

I must say, this remake is probably the best I’ve ever seen, as far as care and precision is concerned.  Square Enix certainly did an excellent job with this one.  To all of you who played FFIV in 1991, get ready to be blown away.  Finally, the ground-breaking and interactive RPG has been fully renovated in full 3-D with AMAZING voice acting.  Everything from the original is here, the characters look great, the voices match the characters, the town layouts are exactly the same as in the original…in fact, even the treasure chests are in the EXACT same location as in the original.  Of course, as in any remake, there are some new features.  For example, the Augment system lets you assign abilities from characters that leave your party to other characters…very useful.  This game rocks!

Metal Gear Solid 4 (PS3) Review

Talk about perfect timing!  This game came out just when I was getting tired with Grand Theft Auto IV.  This game is the best exclusive PS3 game.  I didn’t play the other Metal Gear games very long a couple of years ago, but this one is a different story:  It didn’t take much at all for me to get involved in it.  Yeah you watch the games more than you play, but I don’t mind, since the graphics were so nice to look at.  In fact, these are most likely the best graphics I’ve ever seen.  Don’t listen to the XBOX 360 haters on here; they’re just mad that they can’t play the best game of the year!

New Super Mario Bros. (Nintendo DS) Review

I suppose I should let people know now that I am definitely old enough to remember the original Mario, which I absolutely loved.  But you’re never too young to like the newest version.

It’s sometimes better to go back to the beginning, which is precisely what they did in this Mario.  It’s like Nintendo looked at the first three Super Marios and put them all together in one game, then added some new features to make a great game.  Altogether, the game is definatley worth the $35 and will keep you busy for hours.

Grand Theft Auto IV (PS3) Review

I don’t even know where to begin with this awesome game!  Perfection is, I think, the only way to describe it.  It’s fun, and everything a video game should be.  Not too hard, not too easy.  Awesome cut scenes.  A real storyline.  The graphics could’ve been a little better, I think, but that’s the only bad thing I can say about it.  It also has online play!!!  And not just one game, either; you can team up with as many as 16 players for Team Deathmatch or Cops and Robbers, among others.  Phenomenal!  There were only a few kinks on the online games, and for the most part it was smooth.  By far one of the greatest games in the history of video games.  No kidding.  By the way, this isn’t a good game for kids.  But for adults, I highly recommend the game.  Don’t wait, go get it today.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl Review

This game has an astounding number of gameplay options.  I’m not sure how anyone could possibly know what to do with them all!  If you love the old Smash Brothers games, this would be a great game for you.  There’s an exciting storyline, fast-paced online/offline multiplayer, and a ton of extra and unlockable features.  Even if you’re not a fan of the series, I wholeheartedly recommend this title.  I’ve seen nothing but good reviews for this game, and it’s a must-have for any and every Nintendo junkie.

Resistance: Fall Of Man Review

As one of the first games released for the PS3, Resistance:  Fall of Man has rather good graphics, and the playing can be very intense sometimes.  It’s a pretty easy game, unless you play it in “Superhuman” mode.  However, you have to unlock this mode, and the only way to do that is to beat the game in hard mode.  You can get lots of different guns during the course of the game, with some being better than others, but none of them are really hard to handle.  It was an enjoyable experience overall, and I would readily recommend it to anyone looking for a good first-person shooter game. Even casual gamers who prefer poker games over FPS will surely appreciate Resistance.

Nyko Wii Charge Station Review

I bought this recently, along with two additional battery packs, and it’s worked very well for me so far – I still haven’t run out of battery power.  We make sure we put the remotes in the station, then we pull them out when we’re playing the Wii, and make sure we put them back when we’re done.  It helps us save a lot of money that we would otherwise spend on batteries.  I would definitely highly recommend this to anyone interested; I’m very happy with it.

Wii Play with Wii Remote Review

I think this is one of the best Wii accessories out there.  I wanted to be able to play with my friends when they came over, and I have found that this is worth it, especially with playing with more than one player.  It also came with nine games, so it’s a great add-on for the Wii.

PSP 2000 Console - Piano Black Review

The PSP, a portable gaming system with amazing multimedia capabilities, can stream video and radio, pay movies and music, and surf the web using wi-fi, in addition to playing PSP games.  It’s great for taking on vacation, as it is a great entertainment device.  If you have ever even just looked at the titles available for the Playstation, PS2, or PS3, you will see a lot of the same games are also available for the PSP.  Like Gameboys, the PSP console is less kid-oriented.  It has an exposed glass screen and is quite precise.  The games are both fun and challenging.
