Elmo Live

Last year it was all about the Elmo TMX. This year Fisher-Price has done it again with the Elmo Live. Already sold out at stores across the nation, it is one of the hottest toys for youngsters this holiday season.

The new Elmo Live is pretty much the same Sesame Street character as always, but comes with new features such as the ability to talk, sing, tell jokes, and more. What’s great about Elmo this year is he comes with a built-in battery saver so that when he hasn’t been played with for a few minutes, he turns off.

Children like Elmo because his is always bright and smiling. He brings fun to young children of all ages, and remains entertaining for some time with his jokes, stories, and exciting games. Controllable via a simple button, even the youngest kids will have no trouble figuring out how to work him.

One funny thing about Elmo is he has to be on a hard surface to work properly. When he falls over, he will ask you to pick him back up, and then say “Thank you!”

The only negative about this toy is the price. At $59.99, it’s a bit of an investment. Besides that, there are few other quirks. Some have complained that his voice is occasionally hard to understand, but that has always been an issue with Elmos. However, Elmo Live is very popular, so you can see how Fisher-Price was able to jack the price up. On the bright side, he does come with 6 AA batteries.
