Sony Cybershot DSCS730 Digital Camera Review

The Sony Cybershot DSCS730 is the ninth camera I have owned over a twenty-five year period. I used to have a Kodak, but I was unhappy with its durability so I bought this Sony. I am absolutely ecstatic about this camera. My favorite thing about it is that it uses AA batteries instead of the expensive propriety batteries you find in many digital cameras these days. As a heavy traveler, that means I can find batteries for this thing anywhere I go, though I plan on using rechargeable AA batteries for it nonetheless.

But the best part about this camera is that it takes great pictures, right out of the box. The included AA batteries don’t last long, but once we switched to rechargeables, there has been no issue. And choosing a camera that uses standard size-and-shape batteries was VERY important, since we do sometimes need to buy & use AA’s when we’re on the go.
This camera has significantly less shutter delay than my old one, I can finally take a variety of pictures I was before unable to- spontaneous, cute, humorous pictures of my kids in less-than-ideal conditions: low lighting, moving targets, etc (kids never sit still, do they?)
