Canon FS100 Camcorder Review

I just got this Canon FS100 camcorder in the mail from Amazon. Here are my impressions. The camera is very compact, and looks pretty good, too. There are many electronics products I’d be embarrassed to carry around in public due to their ugly looks, but this isn’t one of them. The footage shot by this camera is good. What’s great about this Canon camcorder is that it uses SD memory cards, so you can just remove the card, plop it in your computer, and transfer the video pretty quickly. If you don’t have an SD card reader on your computer, the cam also comes with a USB cord for transferring video. The photos this camcorder takes aren’t exactly print-worthy, but no camcorder is good at taking photos. Any photo quality you get with a digital cam is icing on the cake. The photos I took with the FS100 were good enough for email or web use, which is all I need.

Buy the Canon FS100 at Amazon.

Canon HG10 AVCHD 40GB Camcorder Review

I received the Canon GH10 AVCHD camcorder as a gift a month ago. Though I was initially wary about using a hard-drive camcorder, thirty days later I’m glad I have one. It’s great not having to deal with tapes, and the hard drive makes transferring videos the computer easy, plus there’s no quality loss. I don’t have to worry about overwriting data when I rewind, and deleting unwanted footage is simple. As for the interface of the camera, it too is easy to navigate through, the menu options arranged logically.
Had I not bought this camcorder, I would have bought it with my own money at Amazon. It’s well worth the investment.

Flip Video Mini Series Camcorder Review

Made by the same company that made the widely popular Flip Video Ultra, here is the Mini. The Mini improves upon the older Flip Video, even more portable than before. The Mini is great for taking high-quality video and is meant for those who like portability. The Mini will easily fit in your pocket, purse, or just about anywhere. The included software makes uploading and transferring movies a breeze, and a rechargeable battery is also included that can be charged via the USB transfer cable or a power outlet.
